Recently, for Hertzbach's Day of Service, we had the opportunity to spend a day volunteering at several nonprofits, schools, and parks throughout the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. area. It was a wonderful day of giving back to our communities, learning about local organizations, and spending quality time with our colleagues.
One of our volunteer groups spent time at Paul's Place. Established in 1982, Paul’s Place offers more than two dozen services and programs to low-income individuals and families in the Washington Village/Pigtown community of Baltimore, MD. Paul’s Place continues to expand programs and partner with other organizations in the Baltimore community to improve the local quality of life. During our day at Paul's Place, Hertzbach volunteers prepared food that was served in the daily hot lunch program. Additionally, donated gently-used clothing, linens, and other household items were sorted to be distributed through the Paul's Place Clothing Bank. At the end of the day, our team described it as "a fantastic and meaningful day." We are looking forward to the next opportunity to volunteer at Paul's Place.
