The chief executive officer of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) received major technological recognition recently. Danielle Lee, a writer for the Accounting Today website, selected Tom Hood of the MACPA as one of the top ten Twitter accounts that accountants should follow. In the slideshow, Lee not only touts Hood’s ability to attend a large number of conferences and accounting events, but Lee also praises Hood’s efforts to relay the information communicated at these events to his Twitter followers for them to apply in practice.
You can join the over 4,000 other followers of Tom Hood on Twitter by searching for his handle @tomhood. Hood was the only member of a state accounting association to receive a mention. Other Twitter accounts selected included the IRS, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, various writers, and CPA firm owners. The article was part of Accounting Today’s Follow Friday, which provides readers with Twitter accounts reflecting a wide range of relevant topics. You can find the full slideshow at the following link.
Congratulations to Tom Hood for leading the way for Maryland CPAs!
